Any idea why I can't use the "direct" option to register Delphi 2007?
I select Direct, use the Developer Network Account (I logged in via the web
to show that works), use User Name and Password,
After the registration step I see "registration failed" and get the message
in the subject line.
Also this: "Failure attempting to connect to registration server: license.
codegear.com"
Your software cannot be registered at this time.

I had a problem like this once that turned out to be a proxy server
issue.

AFAIK, there is no proxy server on my local cable Internet connection at
home. I have had proxy server problems at work, but I've never had one at
home.

I believe they must be a problem using User Name instead of E-mail address.
I switched to E-mail and it worked the first time.
