|
|
I am running Delphi 2007 under Vista. I had a problem running the
demo projects for Digital Metaphors Report Builder because the program
was having a problem creating pdoxusrs.net. I changed the advanced
properties of Delphi 2007 to run as administrator and the problem went
away.
However, Vista always asks for permission to run bds.exe everytime I
click on the shortcuts. How do I get rid of this annoying behavior?
Thanks, Sidney |

The solution is to change the location of the PDOXUSRS.NET by changing
the NET DIR using BDE Administrator from the control panel. This is
more complicated than you would expect because BDEAdmin is not run in
elevated mode. BDEAdmin locked up but when killing the task you get
options to try legacy CPL Elevated. This works and the problem is
resolved.
