Has anyone knowledge of how to alert an application is a user presses
the mute button? Is there a msg to trp or is it done on the hardware
level? I have an IBM thinkpad (one of the last) that has a mute button
that only mutes to restore the volume you press an up or down button.
I also have a Dell that behaves differently, the mute button toggles
the sound. My intent is to have the MP3 player pause when the volume
is muted and on when the sound is restored. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Bill
