I have SQL Server 2005 running on a Win 2003 server. I need to connect to the SQL Server from Win 98 workstations. I have installed MDAC 2.8 SP1. What else do I need to connect to databases using ODBC? Thanks.

Rhea,
That should be enough. We are connecting to SQL Server 2005 server from
some Windows 98 SE machines using MDAC 2.8 - but are using ADO.

We did notice that sometime you need to use the SQL Server client
configuration utility in the client workstation to explictly configure
the server - if the client workstation was connected to an internet
gateway/proxy as well - otherwise the connection was timing out quite a
lot.
