Hi all,

This is really annoying me, we have a custom package with some controls in
it. I have just reinstalled my machine, and everytime I open borland, it
has deselected our package from the packages list. I reselect it, and it
still is deselected next time I open Borland. I have rebuilt the package,
removed and added again, and closed all open projects and added it all to
no avail, anyone have any other ideas?

Cheers
Simon

yes (I just added it, and that didn't help), no, it isn't in either of the

excluded packages list, it is in the libraries, sparelibs and packages
section of the bpr file. The only thing I can think of is that the bpk is
in a different location to the bpi and lib files, but this has worked
before (on my old machine).

Thanks
Simon

Simon,

If this package isn't confidential, then I can offer to take a look at it on
my end. I don't know how much I can do, but I can at least try it on my
system and let you know if I get the same behavior. If you'd like to do
this, then e-mail me privately with either the .BPL or the .BPK and
necessary source files.

Thanks, but I have gotten it working. I had previously added it from the
compiled source, which was causing the problems, when I actually opened
the bpk and installed from there everything seems to be happy. I think
this is a bug in BCB as the way I understand it you should be able to
add packages without compiling and installing them manually, but seeing
as BCB isn't likely to get an update we will just have to live with it.
