I have only about 900 meg free on drive C:

I had .NET 2 installed but the installer keeps saying I do not..

What would happen is that it would work for an hour and then keep
repeating downloading .NET 2.0

Bare in mind I do not want .NET on my computer anyway...

I tried three times - same thing.

So I removed it all. Finally it downloaded the .NEt and started
installing and then it got stuck doing something.

It does not appear to track disk space before or during
download/install.

I always liked the Wise installer - never got anywhere with
installshield - always gave me fits. Don;t know if this is install
shield but it feels like it.

So now I have tried four times to get it installed but still no go. I
think my 15 days may be running out :)

While I am on the /rant/ please codegear stop using the registry. Its
a disaster. Keeps growing never gets smaller, causes all kinds of
grief.

It does not appear it is possible to redirect anything to drive E:
where I have lots of room. Why? Or maybe I never got to the Delphi
part since I never got through the .NET part.

hhhmmmm

For fun go to:

and look at post 6
This is one very good reason not to use .NET or the registry. (or that
Hp printer)

ok it is installing now :)

finally it told me how much space was available on drive C:
and THEN it gave me the opportunity to change the installation
location, without showing how much space there was on it ....
so I changed it to E: and its installing happily...

Happy Camper

Ok all installed.
Took a lot of my precious disk space.

I installed to E:

I could not find the sample files - it put those and a lot of other
files on C: anyway! Awful.

BUT the IDE is snappy and feels good! I wish there were more samples -
doesn't look like they have added many lately.
