Hi,

We heavily use the DataExpress components at work. The only disadvantage
of using these components is that they are proprietary. With the news
that Borland is selling off its developement tools, makes me nervous. Is
there any chance of Borland releasing the DataExpress components to Open
Source? Just a thought...

Thanks,
Lamar

It's a thought that has been had before, to no avail. We'll just have to
wait and see what the deal is after the sale.

My understanding is that if you have purchased the Enterprise version
you have the source.. Though you can not "sell" your changes, I would
think you could 'FIX" stuff for your own internal use..

You need to confirm this with Borland...
