Hi,

I hope this is the right group!

To save myself a fair amount of non-available time I need to find a
(hopefully freeware) DB aware ComboBox component.

Before anyone shouts at me for not looking in the Data Controls
palette I should mention that this is needed as a record selector
component for use with nested TClienDataSets and NOT as an editor
component (which is what the normal control is) - that is, it needs to
work in a similar fashion to the DBLookupComboBox but just using one
particular field value from the data source it's tied to.

I hope that's clear! Has anyone any recommendations?

Look at:

http://www.korzh.com/delphi/components/

there is a DBCombo that can be used for navigation.

I have used it, it works, it is free... with sources. The direct link is:
