Are there any native access components available ore what else are the possible solutions. For Oracle we are using DOA and for Interbase IBX. Thank's for your help. Regards, Frank. IBM DB2 client for Windows provides both an ODBC and OLEDB driver that can, theoretically, access AS400 DB2. I haven't tried it. I'm not sure if that came with the Pro version or not, probably not. It used to be available separately but I don't think it is offered any more. In our case, we use the MS OLEDB driver for generic ODBC. ADO Express provides components with an API very similar to the BDE components. You may be able to find 3rd party ADO components though I don't know of any offhand. And yes, I agree, avoid the BDE. Another possibility is upgrading to BCB 6 Pro.
