Hello.
My english is terrible so sorry for any mistakes.

I want make some application to connect delphi with mysql. (I use mysql on
linux platform version 4.0.16). I copy libmysql.dll to directory where my
project is saved and the successsfully activate TMySQLConnection. Before
that I select host name, database, user and password.
Then I connect TSQLQuery with TSQLConnection and in sql wrote: "select *
from mytable". Then I want activate TSQLQuery and boom: "dbexpress error:
Invalid field type."
I also try to do this in Delphi 8 but I got the same error.

I search on this newsgroups and forums with google, and I asked on some
forum in our contry but noone can help me.
I don't know what's the problem. If I have the wrong libmysql.dll or has
mysql (version 4.0.16) bug.
Maybe is some stupid reson. I don't know so any help would be appriciated.

Thank you
BYE
Matjaz

After 3 weeks i fixed the problem if there was?
I upgrade my mysql database from 4.0.16 to 4.0.18, then I download
dbexpmysql.dll from borland web page and download mysql version 4.0.18
source for windows and copy libmysql.dll into my saved project folder and
look it's working.
Bye
