Hi!
We have until now used the bde as interface to Interbase and MsSql.
But, for many good reasons we have decided to make a change in the near
future.
DbExpress seemed a good choice, sinde it would eneable us to use the same
application on differnt database platforms.
However, it seems that DbExpress is uni-directional, which is a shame .....
is that correct, or is there something we have misunderstood???

Indeed, dbExpress IS uni-directional. You're supposed to use
TClientDataset
components in combination with dbExpress (and providers if you like).

Please change the name in your message to something other than Borland
Announce. It is misleading.
