Is this a survey of only its reader base? If so then it is tainted.

I stopped subscribing to DDJ years ago. Last time I checked it
caters specifiically to C/C++ Developer that would mean that C/C++
should always be at the top of a survey of its reader base.

Thanks for the clarification, It still is tainted if it only used
its own ads.

Very tainted.

Not likely to be the case IMO since magazines like DDJ are not a very
prominent source of job ads.

It was a survey of web based ads.

Pascal 0.1 - 0.3 (5)

It's obviously DDJ's own fault. I mean, come on, we're all good little sheep
and none of us have been programming in Pascal since Delphi 1 came out,
remember? The language is "Delphi" now, not "Pascal". They simply forgot to
ask the correct question. Heck, there's not even an "other" category for
Ruby, Python, Eiffel, etc. And Ruby must be popular, because I remember Rudy
talking about it <g>.

Not specifically, but the readership is probably more C/C++ than anything
else, probably followed closely by Java. The number of articles for each
language would seem to indicate this.

Personally, I don't care at all which is the most "popular" programming
language.

The most popular beer is Bud Lite. Nuff said..

It was a survey of web based ads.

The survey counted web-based job offers that included the keyword
"Pascal" in the requirements.

The results would certainly have been different if they'd used the
keyword "Delphi" instead, or perhaps better yet, counted job offers
including either of the two keywords in the requirements. Of course,
they'd have to filter out hits for the other Delphi out there.
