Hi and my apologies if this is too simple for this group. To test my code,
I often iterate line by line through and when I want to see the value of a
certain variable, I simple move my cursor over that variable. In a second
or so the value appears.
However, I must have inadvertantly changed the option controlling this,
because it has now stopped doing that, and I don't know the name of the
option to start it again.
Can anyone help, please?
Thanks, William

The correct group for this question would have been:

borland.public.cppbuilder.ide

When posting questions please remember to include your IDE (BCB6, BDS2006,
etc). Depending on your version of the IDE the option can be in one of
several places.

BCB5 and BCB6: "Tools | Editor Options | Code Insight | Automatic features |
Tooltip expression evaluation"

BDS2006: "Tools | Options | Editor Options | Code Insight". Choose the
source file type. Again "Tooltip Expression Evaluation" is the checkbox you
are looking for.

It could also be that the IDE is configured correctly but cannot find the
value. Sometimes the IDE cannot find the value either because it is
confused or the expression is too complex.
