Hi - just a quick request:

Anyone know of a decent code profiler that works under Delphi5?

The code I work on has been optimised where it's obvious, but I'd like to know
once and for all whether certain portions of my code are slowing down the app,
or (as I suspect) it's actually Delphi.

Preferably free, it's for a free project after all :-)

I use ProDelphi (www.prodelphi.de) by Helmuth Adolph.

.. it's not free,
.. it works,
.. Helmuth provides excellent support,
.. each new release has provided useful features,
.. there is a freeware trial version that limits the number of methods that
it will profile.

Helmuth also has Kylix and Delphi.Net versions that I have not tried.

I know there are others around. I have used ProDelphi for a few years now
and trust it. I'd recommend that you at least consider it if you are looking
around at what's available.

Cheers
Richard
