Hello all, really hoping you can offer some suggestions here.

I'm new to Borland C++ Builder, and have installed version 5, professional onto an XP machine. Another colleague did this some time ago apparently with no problems.

I have installed with no errors or hints of a problem, but when I actually launch C++ Builder, the component palette is almost empty. I only get the Standard components, and only 2 icons on there. No other expected palettes are there (additional, win32, system, dialogs, etc, etc).

I am at the end of my tether with it right now, and have nowhere to turn. Please please help!!!!

Thankyou.

Try doing a registry only install to get the base
defaults installed for the logged in user.

Thankyou Alex. The problem is solved now. Difficulties were caused by insufficient privileges on my works pc. Access granted, install now ok. Thanks for responding.
