D7.01 (also in D6.02) - QC 43194
In a master/detail standard datasnap application, deleting a modified detail
record and applying updates, may hide the detail records from top of the
detail cds till the deleted row. This happens when an ErrorPacket is
produced by the provider (when deleting the detail record produces error and
needs to be reconciled in client).
The hidden detail records, will not be shown even by cancel updates or
open/close of detail cds (one should reopen the master cds to get his/her
detail records shown again).
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Construct a standard master-detail datasnap application (even can use
local connection for simplicity).
2. Have you RDBMS raise error when deleting detail record - e.g. by a delete
trigger. This simulates getting error upon deleting a detail record.
3. Have one master record and some detail records and apply updates.
4. Reopen the same CDSes, modify last detail record.
5. Delete the same detail record.
6. ApplyUpdates.
7. Booom! |
