Hi;

Anyone else having trouble with obtaining a trial key for D2005?

I went through the Borland web site, passed a screen that claimed I would be
sent a key, the proceeded to download the required files. Waited several
days, then decided to just install D2005, as perhaps they were somehow
incorporating the key into the product. Of course, they are not.

I have now attempted to contact them [accountmgr (AT) borland (DOT) com] 4 or 5 times
to request a "re" sending of the license key.

I have had no response to my email, and certainly have not received a
license key.

Considering that I have spent 50 hours a week staring at Delphi5 and can't
wait to update as one of the final phases before release of a monster
project written exclusively in Delphi - I'm considering this rather shabby
treatment.

Obviously I can't make any threats about jumping platforms and so forth: I
love Delphi, have a small fortune in VCL controls and live and breath
Delphi. But I would surely like to see the latest version before I commit to
transition of over 100,000 lines of code.

Anyone knowing a better way to get their attention, please pass me a
suggestion.

Cheers, and Happy Holidays to all

Nope, Id suggest you sign up with something like a yahoo account and
register for it with that, it maybe for some reason its getting blocked
by some paranoid rule on a message scanner on your email system
somewhere.

Hi Liz;

I had of course thought of that, but it must be part of the programmer thing
to keep trying to make it work right, as opposed to doing an end run around
the problem.

Thanks to your encouragement, I did join BDN again with another alias, and
did in fact receive my code instantly. My understanding of our email SPAM
system was it dumped the reject stuff in a visible, personalized box, which
does show the mail. Interestingly, I haven't had anything show up there in
weeks .. time to talk to our network admin I think!

Blah blah. Anyways, thanks!

I had it sent to my personal e-mail and copied it to the home directory.
Now it works.
