"Delphi 2005, Professional – Upgrade (includes upgrades from C#Builder

Borland® Delphi™ 2005 Professional is the ultimate and complete development
solution for Windows,® with Delphi, C#, Microsoft® .NET Framework and Win32®

"Borland Delphi 2005 Professional is the ultimate and complete development

environment." - price $999.
I have fully purchased Delphi Studio 7 Pro ($999). Purchasing upgrade to
Delphi 2005, C#Builder Professional is not included by upper wrotten. If
that is true, Upgrade have no sence in this transition to "all in one
hyperproductive RAD environment".
Please explain exact Borland's policy about this.

"Delphi 2005, Professional - Upgrade (includes upgrades from C#Builder

That is the same meaning on what I refering. That what was wrote is clear,
but have no logical sence, since I'm allready paid $999 for a Delphi 7
Studio Pro and planing Upgrade for a new "all in one hyperproductive RAD
environment". That what was wrote mean, that I must purchase another $999 to
actually get "all in one hyperproductive RAD environment", which have no
sence why Borland have released Upgrade anyway.
To preformulate question. I need clarification from Borland's
representativest: This ("includes upgrades from C#Builder Professional") is
advertizing to C#Builder Proffesional owner that this Upgrade will upgrade
C#, but FULL C#Builder Professional instaltion IS included in Upgrade for
Delphi owners only? Negative answer will mean that Upgrade have no sence,
what I refering.
Thanks in advance.

If you own Delphi 7 Pro and want to upgrade to Delphi 2005 Pro, you have to
pay $399 for upgrade pricing (or less on your local or internet dealers).

AFAICR the "full product" and "upgrade" versions are identical (except from
a sticker on the box, maybe). It's a /license/ question whether you may use
the upgrade or not, not a technical issue (at least that's been the case in
the past).

You won't get one here. These are peer support groups. Call Borland sales if
you want a Borland response.

There isn't an email address AFAIK. Borland has several toll free numbers.
Look on their web site.

Well Jeff, that is the reason of my first post here.
There is no apropiate e-mail for that kind of questions, just for support.
If I call USA or Germany Borland's office (nearest country), my telephone
company will collect $1 per minute for "long distance call" - does not
metter if they are "free numbers".

That's the typical arrogant answer I hoped we'd never see again. :-/
Toll free numbers only work in the country they're registered. Unbelievable
but true.
(And for the record: "international" includes more countries than
just Mexico and Puerto Rico. <eg>)

00800 - 2675 - 2638 (Borland Germany).
00800 is a world-wide toll free number. It should be for free in Serbia,
too.

The short answer is you pay $399 for the upgrade to Delphi 2005,
Professional. You
can either go there through the C#Builder Professional path or Delphi
Professional
path. Delphi to Delphi upgrade is always possible, always has been and
always will
be.
Delphi 2005 is an integrated product which merges the Delphi and C#Builder
lines.
In fact not too long ago, Borland mentioned that if you have the Software
Assurance
for Delphi or C#Builder, you get Delphi 2005. No question asked.
You only pay $999 if you never have Delphi or C# Builder Professional
before.

Edwin,
Thank you for clarinfication. As you concisely describe, Delphi and
C#Builder does not exists anymore as individual Borland's project, but
integrated as one and released as Delphi 2005. Furthermore, anyone who have
purchased Delphi or ("or" is keyword) C#Builder is capable to upgrade to
Delphi 2005 and have license to use C# and Delphi individual code projects,
merging the code by wish (or whatever 2005 allows), by upgrade price of $399
for Pro version.
Complete informations I have needed. Thank you once more for clarification.
That is unfortunally anouncment at Borland's shop page.
