Just open the about box and check it states it has update 2. The fact that it ran doesn't necessarily mean it actually updated anything (as other messages in this other groups indicate), but in all cases of this happening it was in relation to an installed update 1. Here are some conditions to check whether or not Update 2 install was successful: http://info.borland.com/04/delphi2005/readme_upd2.html#verify Your bds.exe version seems to be exactly the same as mine and I believe I installed Update 2 successfully. As Marcel already pointed out, there are issues with installing Update 2 against Update 1 (D2005 Professional). One was released as an English Only version last year (this one don't work with Update 2) and there is another one released which replaced that version which is released in Jan 2005 and this would work with Update 2. Yes, that is the version I had used to update my D2005 version 1 with. Then I updated with version 2 and it *installed* with no problems.
