|
|
Hello,
i tried to install Delphi 2007 on P4 3Ghz Windows 2000 1GB
(HT disabled) inside a Virtual PC 2004 emulation, using 512 MB Ram
and a plain Windows 2000 installation with SP 4.
The Installion process took about an hour, with all this rebooting for
pre-requisites. The Virtual HD performance is supposed poor and standard
installion for Delphi 2007 for Win32 Professional is "fat" too, more
than 1800 MB instead of 1,5 GB what the DVD cover says. During the
install I did not touch any of this options, except disabling Delphi
calling home on the end of the installation.
Then Delphi 2007 tryied to start, but after few seconds this Message
appeared:
---------------------------
Bestätigen
---------------------------
Exception EPackageRegistrationException in Modul coreide100.bpl bei
000F23ED.
Registrierungsprozedur, Pasreg.IDERegister in Package
C:\Programme\CodeGear\RAD Studio\5.0\bin\delphide100.bpl hat die
Exception-Klasse EAccessViolation: Zugriffsverletzung bei Adresse
778CC9F1 in Modul 'ntdll.dll'. Lesen von Adresse 066E5EE5 ausgelöst.
Soll dieses IDE-Package bei der nächsten Ausführung von CodeGear Delphi
for Microsoft Windows geladen werden?
---------------------------
Ja Nein
---------------------------
Even this Confirmation Message is in German, it should give the right
person values information. After this message a stripped Delphi 2007
started up, without the appearance of the splace screen. A Reboot did
not help either.
Please belive me using Windows 2000 professional today is not by choice,
i simply have to work with this post modern OS at work.
For me it would be nice to know, if somebody can give me a hint to
resolve this problem. At least what i should say to my boss about this.
I may will be a little bit 'upset' about this situation.
regards,
Thomas |

1. the extra gb it chewed is probably in the localised equiv of
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\{AB3EC276-D261-4943-A921-1CC1C6799AED} which is a complete copy of
all the install files!
K, so this happens on start up of delphi?
Few suggestions
1. disable firewall (if its F-Secure, bin it buy anything else)
2. disable antivirus (if its related to F-Secure, see above)
3. are you deffinately a full administrator
4. have you rebooted (just for a laugh, 2000 was always a bit fussy)
if you say yes, does it do this error every time?

1-2.
This pc is not connected to any network and there are no firewalls,
antivirus programm installed on this pc.
3.
And this PC runs and the Virtual PC emulation runs as administrator.
4.
The problem occur every time, if i try to start Delphi 2007.
I can only repeat myself, i did a reboot after the installtions
process, but thanks anyway.
regards,
Thomas |
