I have just had to reinstall Delphi3. Can someone direct me to the last known update? The Last update is Delphi 3.01 AFAIK, and that was no download, you had to contact Borland in order to get a 3.01 CD. Thanks for that info. My CD volume is called DLV301, so I guess I am safe to apply the 3.02 update. Curiously the files are timestamped 4:01 against the usual Borland convention. I asked because I have a problem with some directory routines that use findfirst and findnext (and findclose in 32bit) which have always worked perfectly in D1, D2, D5 and D7 but which are giving me I/O error 32 messages in D3. I backtracked the latest version of this app from D7 to D3 because it runs from a floppy and I needed to reduce its size. If you want the find files routines from the SysUtils units, then I suggest using the following: SysUtils.FindFirst(Path, Attr, F); SysUtils.FindNext(F); SysUtils.FindClose(F); because there are others with the same names, at least in in the later versions of Delphi. Maybe I need to put the Sysutils prefix in but it still appears to be a Delphi 3 thing. That part of the unit code is unchanged in 5 and 7.
