I already checked all editor and debugger options. With Delphi 5 no problem. Thanks a lot for any hint. Using WinXP Pro Service Pack 1 with D7 out of the box (no fixes loaded yet). Have you got third party experts, design tools etc.? Possibly something that redefines tooltip behavior (like the sample expert from the net that adds hint shadows on XP)?
