Can anyone help?, I have installed Delphi 7.0 on windows XP proffesional, but when i start Delphi i get the main borland box but the applications promptly shuts down after a few seconds.

Has anyone else had this and knows why and how to fix it.

Thanks

I had this problem running D5Ent on WinXP, but only after I started mucking
with our in-house component libraries. I caused an exception to be thrown
when one of our components loaded, and D5 simply shut down without warning
every time it loaded afterwards. I had to use RegEdit to remove the package
from SoftwareBorlandDelphi5.0Known Packages list before Delphi would
come up and stay up afterwards.

Maybe you need to identify any recently installed/changed packages and
remove them from the Known Packages list until you find the one causing the
problem...?
