|
|
Hi,
I created a very simple DELPHI 8 VCL .NET project. Click a button and see
"Hello World". Now I would like to know how to get it to run on my iPower
web site.
The project produced an 'exe' file and the Delphi 8 doc says to move the
exe to the server where the .net framework is installed. Well it doesn't
run.
iPower runs IIS 6 on Windows Server 2003. Perhaps they don't have 'exe'
registered with IIS? I don't know what the issues are.
Has anyone successfully created and ran a Delphi 8 VCL .NET app on IIS 6?
How did you do it?
Thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean. VCL for .NET applications (like Windows
Forms applications) are rich-client applications. They run on Windows
clients, not Web servers.
To build a Web application in Delphi 8, create a new ASP.NET project.
