Has any one else noticed that the above product from the might Microsoft craps all
over delphi? It even corrupted (some how) some dcu's that read in a data
stream from a typed file and corrupted the data read in.
And has this been logged on Quality Central?

Why would a MS product corrupting files in a Borland product be logged as a
bug against the Borland product??

It's interesting information, but if its true there's absolutely nothing we
can do to Delphi to prevent it.

The only thing I've noticed is that it has started showing very irritating
flashy adverts in the bottom pane, and if I move that part offscreen, it
will move itself onscreen again on restart. Somebody should create an OS
replacement. *g*

I haven't noticed it.

Why would a problem with MS NetMeeting be logged in QC?

The only problem I noticed with Delphi IDE (or VCL) and NetMeeting running
simultaneously is that there is a bug in VCL multi-monitor support causing
Access Violations with netmeeting's video driver.

There is a fix for this bug in CodeCentral for either VCL application and
Delphi IDE:

Well I only posted for discusion only so your thoughts are interesting,
but I have noticed that when I run Net Meeting and have Delphi 4
running, this version of Delphi craps out. Also the unit compilation
corruption, as you rightly point out, could be due to other
factors...... but as to the point of Net Meeting affecting other
programs,it even affects windows (2K SP4) itself when running as a
client, so it looks as though Net Meeting could have been coded by shoe
horning it over windows.

I doubt that "Shooting a hole in my hard drive prevents Delphi from
starting" has been logged either...for the same reason.
