I don't know if it is just my perception or what, but it seems like I have
been seeing more quality Delphi job positions available lately than in a
long time. Despite all of the pessimism around here, it looks like others
still have faith in it. Good to hear as I recently heard of two reasonably
large Delphi shops abandoning Delphi for VS.NET for their next product
revisions.

There seem to be a few more popping up Down Under as well. While hardly
a boon, the signs are certainly encouraging.

I've currently got three Delphi 8 trainings set, with inklings of more.

I know of three gigs going begging up here in Calgary, and rumor of

quite a few more.

Cool, you could get Derek to cover the part about porting existing Delphi
apps to D8. <g>

<shrug> Score one for support of Derek.

As for no longer pointing out the types of "information" that Derek is
desseminating--hell no, that stays. Exposing frauds is not something I am
going to cease, simply because of a singular request (or even a handful of
them for that matter, should they materialize). In fact, since truth and
ethics are not a democracy, even a large number of such requests would be
insufficient and unconvincing. You'd have to offer a rational reason why
such a request ought to be granted.

Unfortunately I don't wish to out anyone, but the sizes (in coders only) are
approximately 15 developer shop and 35 developer shop. Not huge, but decent
sizes as far as Delphi shops go. Still not as big as some of the hits we
took back in the Enron days.

Jake,

I happen to support your efforts to counter dis-information, but that last
post was just "bear-baiting" and served no useful purpose other than to
inflame. I would hold you to a higher standard than that.

Actually, the purpose was to amuse. But I'll be the first to admit that
humor is highly contextual and very subjective, and that what amuses some
may indeed inflame others. Apologies to anybody that felt offended by that
attempt at jocularity.
