|
|
I have Delphi loaded on a laptop but when I changed my Windows
domain to connect to different server networks, such as when visiting
clients, my Delphi does not load since it could not find the license.
Is there a way to work around this or am I stuck with the domain
that I loaded Delphi in?
Thanks
Andrew

changing domains you propably change the user name you login as well.
Try to copy the <.Borland> folder from
c:Documents & Settings<UserName>
to
C:Documents & Settings<NewDomain.UserName>
And see what happens.
You coold also reRegister your copy of Delphi when loged in in the new
domain.

Yannis.

Hi Yannis,
Thanks for helping out. I've tried it and it worked for my D7, although I
had to copy the registry entries as well so that it includes my libraries
and components. But it did not work for my D6 complaining that it is
not registered.
Yes, I am aware that I could register it again. But because of so many
domains and changing usernames visiting different clients as well as
using VPNs, I've exhausted my registration times (there is a limit on
the number of registrations that you can make) and I already had to
call Borland to extend the number of times. I just don't want to go
through that again if I can help it, but I will if I have no other recourse.
Thanks Yannis. I appreciate any help you can offer.

Hi Yannis,
It worked for D6 now when I copied over the registry entries.
Thanks again.
