What are the "best" or most "famous" windows commercail /shareware apps that you know of, whcih are done with Delphi? As such, it's as good a language for writing commercial applications as any other general purpose language. Whenever asked about Delphi by people who come from a traditionally MS development tools environment, I tend to tell them that Delphi combines the ease of use of VB with the power of C++. The single biggest selling point, for me, WRT to deployment, is Delphi allows you to create single-exe applications. You can avoid any ActiveX registration, you can even get away without a setup/installer package, in many cases.
