I have inherited a very large project using Delphi6 and MySQL 3.26. For many
reasons, MySQL cannot be updated in the short term, nor can I use 3rs party
components

I am unable to get the correct combination of dbExpressMySQL.dll,
LibMySQL.dll and Midas.dll to work. I am able to connect to the database
under various permutations, but then get an Access violation
'DBExpMySQL.dll' message under these when I try to open a simple query

Any help out there? I have the latest versions of D7

Thanks

You should get:

- LibMySQL.dll - from MySQL 3.26 install bundle (not sure if its still
available anywhere on the web but perhaps you've got the bundle already
if its still in use). Extract it from /bin or /lib either will do
- midas.dll - well usually the latest will do:
http://www.distribucon.com/midas.html
- as for DBExpMySQL.dll ... not sure probably version which come
originally with D6 will do... MySQL 3.26 is pretty old
so I suggest to extract DBExpMySQL.dll from D6 installation CD
