See original post:

And related post:
On borland.public.delphi.upgrade

Went ahead and uninstalled D8 and installed D5 w/UPG 1. Had to delete all system.*.dcuil files from previous build. I can now compile/build and F9 application. All is fine except none of the controls show up on the Winform, and I get the red squigglies under all the system and borland references in the uses clause.

It looks like the resources are now contained in a *.res file as opposed to *.resoures? I added a new Winform project and edited the D8 project source to match, but to no avail.

Does anyone know if I have to migrate the form or recreate the controls from the old resource file?

Well alot to do about nothing apparently - just did the ol'
intellisense thing (first line under uses type System. and select Drawing. All the red squigglies magically disappear, and the controls show up on the form.
