Hi,
It seems that as of Update 4 this major bug has not been fixed.

Designer behavior has changed through the updates, but it still does not
allow
usage of own UI-components. I am curious if somebody has been able to
find a workaround. I would greatly appreciate any ideas.

As temporary workaround could you try to add your jar to JBuilder classpath
using
JBuilder2005binjbuilder.config
