|
|
We have a project with approx 50 EJBs. As these have been added the EJB Designer has got slower...and slower......and slower.......zzzzzz
It has now reached the point where it can take several MINUTES (I am not joking) to add something like the bean name or abstract schema name. It took me 20 minutes (!!!) to add a single CMP 2.0 entity bean with one attribute!
Why does jBuilder9 compress all of the deployment descriptors into one file? This behemoth is now 17 145 lines long and growing. 50 EJBs in a project is not an excessive number. Was the EJB Designer tested with even this moderate number of EJBs?
P.S. I have selected the "Only Expand Selected EJBs" 'performance' option.
Can anyone explain why the designer is so desperately slow, and can anyone suggest any workarounds?
Thanks
Robert

This is bothering me too. But you should see WebSphere Developer.
Like a dead cow.
