hi All,

i want to write an app that runs & monitors windows for the creation
of windows.
When it detects that a certain window ( in this case, an instant
message from yahoo messenger ) i want to be able to cancel/quit/ that
window so it doesnt ever actually appear on screen.. in other words..a
PM-blocker ( yes i know you can already turn off PM's inside yahoo
but.. ).

Ive heard of "hooks" which seems to offer some way of detecting when a
window is about to be created, but i have no real idea of how to use
them.

Any help much appreciated.
