|
|
Hi,
I push text into template word docs. Sometimes, "sections" start at the end
of a page and flow onto the next. I would like the document constructed so
that if I am going to start a section then the next line starts on a new
page that the section start would actually move to the next page.
Section Start
--------------- Page End
This text belongs to the section on previous page
Instead I want it like this
-------------- Page End
Section Start
This text is where it should be
The problem is how do I know when I am at the bottom of a page?
Thanks,
brian

Why don't you use a template with a proper paragraph style? "Page break
before" comes to mind.

Any range or selection has a property called Information, which can tell you
an awful lot of different things like document position, lines etc. You may
find it useful.
Personally I don't think it's worth the effort. Word will always give you
blank pages, or toss paragraphs on to subsequent pages and leave odd gaps.
You can use things like Paragraph keep with next and so forth to control it,
but when you are generating documents automatically, one change here will
wreck another change elsewhere. Only a human being editing the document can
reconcile the contradictions.
