Hello all,

Due to a HDD dying, I have to install D6 Pro on a new drive with just
Win2000 Pro installed.
Starting the install wizard, I see the it running a few checks, the
progress bar ran a couple of times, and then I get a popup which says
that it cannot find a DLL needed to proceed with the install.
It does not say which DLL or anything else useful as I remember. The PC
is at work and I can't post from there.

I remember that when we first installed D6 under NT4 we had a similar
problem but I can't remember whether it is exactly the same. The problem
then was that IE was not installed. This time it is.

Does anyone know which DLL it is referring to?
Is the version of IE important?

Thanks in advance for any ideas,

Cheers,
Dave

If your OS is win2000 sp4, Delphi 6 update 1 and 2 is inneed.

Thanks for the reply.

I don't know off hand which sps have been applied, I'll check tomorrow.

Cheers,
Dave

For the record, the problem was a botched install of Win2000 and
a misleading error message.
Once corrected, Delphi 6 installed without a problem.
