The Intel site suggests that means it is 64-bit compatible. I was looking for a more technical test along the lines of using the CPU identification feature to tell absolutely if the CPU supports 64-bit. Thanks for your help. Chris. Try CPU-Z (freewware) from http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php. If you see EM64T then your cpu supports 64-bit.
