Excuse the possible naivete of this question.
But with the new Intel processor, Core Duo, does
this affect the workings of C++ Builder (4 in my case)?
Will Builder work the same? What about the options
where the processor type is given?
Sorry if it is the wrong forum, but I couldn't tell which
one to ask this on. A bit confused with all the Intel
variations around now and not a lot of experience.

Nope. No more than the dual core AMD processors or multi processor PCs
have done. I've been running dual Athlon MPs for years with BCB5.

(Unless Intel have catastrophically broken something, and we'd have
heard about it by now.)

Well, it'll still run 80386 code. And Pentium, I guess.

On a web search I find discussions about the high number of reported bugs
with the new processor.

It may not be Pentium.
