Hi everyone

Delphi 5, BDE Paradox, TTables, TQuery's etc.

There are lots of posts regarding the "Field 'X' not found" exception,
but I am getting this only when my app closes and do not use
persistent fields(*). The exception is triggered in a filter that
works fine while the app is running. I tried displaying the
DataSet.FieldList.Text in the exception and it's empty!! It is not
empty while the app is running.

As a workaround, I can bracket the filter in a docile exception block,
but I'd rather know what is going on! I'd be grateful for ideas.

(*) I do dynamically set the DisplayFormat of one field -- I cannot
figure out from the forum/help if this then requires me to make all
the fields persistent (if so, why then is my app working all the way
until close?)

Thanks.
