|
|
Hello.
I already asked this in the atozed ng's but got no replies, so I'm hoping
someone here could help me - or at lest point me to the right direction.
I'm using D2005 (pro) with the Indy components that came with it (10.0.20),
and am trying to upgrade to the 10.0.52 version, but I'm a bit lost with
this. The instructions at http://www.indyproject.org/Docs/Indy10Install.html
, in the seond half, say "Now open and click install in the following
order", but I don't know where the "install" is supposed to be at? Are there
any instructions that would be a bit more complete, for example there was no
mention here as to how to uninstall the previous set...?
TIA,
Antti Kurenniemi

I think they what they mean is:
in the first part you open the dpk files and click the "compile" button, but
not the "install" button. In the second part you click the "install" button
instead of the "compile" button.

Thanks Ralph - that's exactly where I needed help with: I couldn't find the
"install" button...But now I found it! It's in the context menu of the
roject manager, it's not really a button at all.
Thanks again,

Uh-oh, I need more help: after I finally found the "install", I uninstalled
the previous Indy version, compiled the new one and hit install, but now all
I get is error: "The procedure entry point @Idstrings@initialization$qqrv
could not be located in the dynamic link library IndySystem90.bpl" - and no
Indy in my component palette.
I'm clueless. What could I have done wrong, and what could I do to get the
Indy components installed again?
Any help appreciated,
Antti kurenniemi

You have left over parts still of an older version.

Thank you. I sort of figured that out after I had re-installed Delphi
without Indy, and then installed Indy 10.0.52 on it succesfully. Next time
I'll know better ;-)
