|
|
Hi,
I am working on a fairly large delphi project which utilises hints to
assist the user in various parts of the program. These hints are a
required feature and have always worked until recently. Nothing
regarding the setting of components' hint messages and setting the
ShowHint properties to true has changed at all in the project, and I
can't for the life of me figure out why the hints have stopped being
displayed. I have tried searching the groups for an answer but not come
across anything relevant.
I am setting the Application.ShowHint to true as well in the project
source.
I am using Delphi 7.
If anyone has any ideas for me to try it would be appreciated. I swear
I had the same problem a few years ago, and managed to figure it out
but how I did it has long gone.
I have started getting a strange error in the project source file that
may be related. Sometimes if the mouse is left over something, when
Delphi tries to look up its own hint message, an error from a dll
message appears, and 'Internal Error D9591' appears in the message
window. The project source then becomes read-only and needs to be
reloaded.
Thanks in advance of any help,
Zief

Hoi Zief
Have you checked how the ParentShowHint property is set on your UI
components?
