Hi,

I want to carry an application developed with Delphi7 to Delphi8. I make the
database connection with ADO (TADOConnection, TADODataSet,
TADOStoredProc...) and I don't find these components in Delphi8. My
application is an vcl forms application.

It's posible to use something like this to connect to an SqlServer database
with ADO in Delphi8?

Thanks in advance, Itxaso.

From what I've read in the threads... ado components are not supported in
d8... search for delphi 8 within this forum and you'll find it posted.

The ADO components aren't there yet but Borlanders have several times stated
that migrating the ADO components is a priority. I guess when it gets done
will all depend on what other priorities are considered more critical. For
now, you'll have to go the ADO.Net route.
