QuickReports is no longer a part of Delphi. It got depricated around the D7
time frame (or D6). If you want to continue with QuickReports you should buy a
copy from qusoft (www.qusoft.com).

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher
a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build
a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act
alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer,
cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for
insects. (RAH)

I can't answer the OP's question, but I have several apps which started life in D5, and I

had no problem using the QuickReports which came with D7 Pro to edit them. While QR may be
deprecated, it was still there, and still works.

I think you just need to install the QR package into D7 (by default,
it's not installed).

The notes for this are in Demos\QuickRpt folder {Delphi}\Demos\QuickRpt
in a file called "QReport_README.txt"
