I'm looking for a link that demonstrates advanced google
techniques. I'd also appreciate learning any neat tricks that
you may have discovered.

I do appreciate the effort but I need large-bold-block print
or something that I can manipulate.

I don't know any neat tricks. Sorry. Here is how I search most
often and maybe you or anyone else gets a hint by it though. Or
maybe someone else tells us how to search better than I do.
In Google Groups I enter "cppbuilder" (or somtimes "Delphi"
instead) and the keywords I am looking for. When looking for
VCL objects you sometimes have to try twice, e.g. first you
try "listbox" then you try "TListBox". Looking for neighboured
words is with a minus sign: "cppbuilder file fast-access" for
instance. If there is a word you don't want you preceed it with
a minus sign as follows: "cppbuilder file fast-access -stream".
When looking for algorithms or general techniques I usually
don't look in Groups but in Web. It sometimes helps then to
add "Wikipedia" to your search (e.g. "Wikipedia quicksort"), as
wikipedia explanations are often very good. |
