I have downloaded the source for Indy 10 in a zip file but I can't find out how to install it into BCPP4.
Can anyone give me some pointers?

Cheers,

David

I don't think C++Builder is supported yet. See the thread from

Thanks to all of you. Now I've got it.

Is there another of installing the Indy version 9.x instead of
using the make file distributed by AtozedSoftware ?

I saw a statement that bpk's will not be suported anymore
by AtozedSoftware.

Thanks a lot.

Jayme.

Hi,

So, as the IdSMTP version 10 do not support C++Builder6.0,
have you succeeded on installing the 9th version ? I am facing a
lot of troubles and errors when running the Fullc6.bat .

Thank you very much.

Jayme.

Yes, I did get Indy9 installed into BCB4, so BCB6 will do it too. I wish
that Mr Lebeau was here as he would sort out the problems far quicker than
I ever could, but anyway, I think that I extracted the zip to
BCBLibComponentsIndy9. Then I created my own .bpk's and installed them.

So, for you to do this, firstly uninstall Indy8 (if you have it installed),
and then delete all the Indy8 .lib's, .h's, .hpp's, .bpl's, .bpi's, .obj's.
You'll find them in BCBInclude, BCBLib, BCBProjectsBpl,
BCBProjectsLib.

Now extract the Indy9 zip to a folder like BCBLibIndy9, then download the
zip I have posted in attachments, and extract to the dir you've extracted
Indy9 to. Open Indy40_bcb4.bpk, and click Compile. Once it's done, open
dclIndy40_bcb4.bpk, and click Install. This should do it.

Oops, 2nd link does not work, to get there, click the first link
then scroll down to the "Borland C++ Builder Installation" and
the link name is "In Indy 9.0, there is no IndyC60.bpk. What do I do to
get Indy to work with C++Builder 6?"

Bud

Indy 10 does not support BCB4. BCB5 (and D5) are the last versions being
supported.

BPKs are not needed in Indy 9. The .BAT files work just fine.

I think that I had some troubles with the .bat's so I made my own bpk's,
but I can't remember clearly.
