Hi,

Lately I have to reinstall the Builder quite often, but that's a problem for
another newsgroup. My problem is related to the IDE environment. I use a
particular syntax highlighting color scheme, but that is lost after every
install. Is there a way to preserve these settings?

Wiljo.

There are 2 places where the settings stored.

1. HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareBorlandC++Builder5.0 or (6.0)
2. files in the Install directory $(BCB)Bin

Backup both of them and restore after reinstall.

Be careful if you are using BCB6 and want to install a different copy
(licence key) of BCB. In that case you must reserve

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareBorlandC++Builder6.0
LM
LMKEY
LMLIC
of the new installation
