|
|
Our software uses HTTPCli to download files. Quite a few ISA server users
have problems using our software and it seems to be a problem with the
username/password being passed for some reason. We set the Proxy,
ProxyPort, ProxyUsername and ProxyPassword fields, but in the user's ISA
Server logs, it shows the username is "anonymous". Is there something
different that we have to do to get HTTPCli to work with ISA authentication?
Thanks,
David

You probably have to tell the ISA server to allow cleartext authentication
as well (else it will use windows-integrated auth. which probably only
works with MSIE)

Is this something that our corporate user admins will find acceptable? Is
it set to not accept cleartext for a good reason? If this is not
acceptable, do we need to do some sort of encryption?

Windows-integrated is NTLM. Not very hard thing to support, but requires
certain serious changes to HTTPCli itself. We made this for our
TimelyWeb product and we can share the changes under some conditions
(pleae contact me privately, if interested).
