hi all:
I use Delphi7, Access2000 for test.
Now I want copy records from a query to Access.I compare the Performance
of TADOTable and TTable, I found TADOTable is much slow than paradox. the
code is like this:

Query.First;
while not Query.eof do
begin
ADOTable1.Append;
ADOTable1.Fields[0].Value:=Query.Fields[0].Value;
ADOTable1.Post;
Query.Next;
end;
if using Paradox, code like this:

Query.First;
while not Query.eof do
begin
Table1.Append;
Table1.Fields[0].Value:=Query.Fields[0].Value;
Table1.Post;
Query.Next;
end;

for large data, I found TADOTable is about 3 times slow than TTable.

How to impove TADOTable's speed? Is there any other component compatible
with
TADOTable and has high Performance? I heard something like DirectAccess,But
it is
used the way as BDE,but I need ADO component property.
Any suggest ?

thanks.

For Access for batch operations use CursorLocation=clUseServer. For ADO
table, use also TableDirect=true.

I agree with Vassiliev.

You could also try looking for other OLEDB providers. I don't know if you
are using the ODBC/ADO bridge provider or JET. They may give different
results.
