Looked into the sources but this give's me an error on the TClientDataSet

I found some info on the net that i have to install the package MIDAS.
Where can I find it?

IIRC there wasn't a lot of MIDAS support in D5 Pro. I could be wrong
though.

You may get a better answer in b.p.install.delphi.

D5 Pro did not include Midas. Midas only came with D5 Enterprise.

Hi,

Try:
Quote:
To Register the midas.dll do the following command line

TREGSVR.EXE -i midas.dll

Otherwise search Google with the exact error message you get.
Robert.

D5 Pro doesn't have MIDAS. You can use an MIDAS alternative free with source
code, called HyperBase.
For further details, please check http://www.vglib.com/link-4.html.

This is wrong; there has been a lot of misinformation spread about
this tool.

First, HyperBase does you no good whatsoever if you don't have
TClientDataset, TDatasetProvider and TRemoteDataModule -- it's strictly
a replacement for midas.dll. Second, HyperBase doesn't change the
MIDAS licensing terms, which are not free in D5, with or without
HyperBase.

There are third-party alternatives to MIDAS available for D5 Pro,
however. Unlike HyperBase, they have substitute components for every
piece of MIDAS -- TClientDataset, TDatasetProvider, etc. Ask on the
thirdparty groups if you'd like recommendations.
