|
|
By simply activating a onkeypress event for a editbox on a form and
trying to compile i create an error. It pops up with a EReadError
'Invalid Property Value'.
Does anybody have a clue why this may be happening? |

Hoi Nelly
You need to repost your question on the Borland news server to make
everybody see it and possibly answer your question. Further, this newsgroup
do not officially exist, use newsgroup b.p.d.language.delphi.general.
Take a look here:

which links to

Hey thanks for the reply. Ive had a look at the site you gave me and
im feeling really silly. I still dont quite know how to post a message
in the right place. When i click on the link to the link to the
borland.public.delphi.language.delphi.general it gives me a mail
client, from which i try to post a piece of mail and it tells me that
no sender was specified and i should check news account configuration.
Do i need to sign up for a news account or something similar?
Thank you for your time in advance.

Hoi Neil
It is a bit confusing about the importance of using the right news server,
that is why we (Delphi users) made the Wiki page and actively started to
tell people about the problem.
To post to the Borland news server you can use either a standard news
reader program or your web browser. You can install one of the news readers
listed on the Wiki page. Many email programs are also able to work as news
reader (and poster), e.g. Mozilla/Thunderbird and MS Outlook express
(Yuck!). You need to setup news server as newsgroups.borland.com, there are
no user name or password or other sign up needed on that server.
If you can not make it work then use the Borland web page to send your news
group postings. You can of course continue using Google Groups or whatever
for reading.
