|
|
Hi Every body,
As shipped, Jbuilder 2005 supports directly tomcat 4 and 5.
I downloaded Tomcat 5.5.9 (windows) and tried to run/debug my java web
apps from
jbuilder 2005 on my new tomcat.
It doesn't work because tomcat 5.5 needs jre 5, which I already
downloded and installed.
When I run tomcat manuaaly it starts out of the box, but within
JBuilder it claims for Java 5.
my question is how to make jbuilder 2005 start tomcat 5.5.9, if anyone
knows ?
thanks a lot.

Z,
Under project properties on the Sever page you can select which Tomcat
version that the project uses as a default. You can setup new versions
of Tomcat in Tools - Configure Libraries. I presume if you setup 5 in
libraries and then select it as the default for your project it will
start it.

Z,
Also I presume you have the Project Properties JDK set to 5?

Thanks for your reply Ray,
I already configured tomcat 5.5 in Jbuilder, indeed, it tries to start
it, but tomcat cry for JRE 5.
Now what you tell me is to set my project JDK to 1.5 and tomct will
follow ?
I'll try it, but even if it works, I cannot migrate all my projects
(especially two of them) to JDK 5, I have to stuck with 1.4.
Do you know of any way to make jbuilder run a JDK 1.4 project on tomcat
5.5 (with JRE5)
hint : eclipse does allow it .
thank you agian,
Zydoon. |
